Colorado is one of the fittest states in the nation. Our climate and natural setting allows us to enjoy outdoor activities all year round. Colorado also ranks among the healthiest states for physical activity, obesity, high blood pressure, and disease prevalence. From a broad view, Colorado’s health looks good. However, we see dramatic differences when we look at the health indicators of different racial and ethnic groups.

In this module, we will look at the health of the people in Colorado. We will start by looking at the traits of people who live in Colorado: number of people, their races, income, school level, and how many have insurance.
